Bare Conductor widely used in power transmission lines with various voltage levels. Bare stranded comductor are always erected on poles, which are traditionally called overhead conductors. The overhead conductor itself does not distinguish voltage levels, that is, in principle, the same series of conductors can be used from low voltage, medium voltage, high voltage or even ultra high voltage.
Advantages: The conductor has light weight and good conductivity. It has good flexibility, high reliability, high strength and high stability.
Application: Used in distribution lines of overhead power lines with less stress.AAAC is used as bare overhead conductor for primary and secondary distribution. Designed utilizing a high-strength aluminum alloy to achieve a high strength-to-weight ratio; affords better sag characteristics. Aluminum alloy gives AAAC higher resistance to corrosion than ACSR.
